HAIL!

I had to post this. Unfortunately I shot this digi about 15 minutes after the real storm. We were part of a supercell type hail storm that evidently only covered about a half mile area. In fact only about a quarter mile from the house it didn't even rain! Our yard was covered with dime sized hail. So much so that it looked like snow. No this image wasn't from January. It was last week around April 20th! This isn't the first time this has happened at our house. I can remember a couple of Dallas television stations doing a report on the hail storm here that left quarter size hail on the ground for about 5 days! No kidding! Weird huh? And yes it did take somewhat of a toll on our herb garden.

Nichole Nordeman

I was turned on to Nichole by a friend and fellow musician about a year ago. I listened to some of the cd and thought she was good, and then basically forgot about her. I was editing a piece for a bible congregation last week and the music chosen was who else but Nichole Nordeman doing "Duxology" accapella style. Breathtaking! I have since ordered this CD to give back to my friend as I lost hers. Take a listen to this, even if you don't think you are in to contemporary praise music. And check out her story on line. She got a recording contract in a very interesting way. With her voice she's a blessing to all who hear.

Ground Breaking

I broke ground on a garden spot yesterday, and that's about all I did was "broke" ground. This north Texas black clay wreaks havok on a back and a small roto tiller. I made 3 passes in three hours, that should give some idea of how hard it can be. We will plant though, yes we will! Just as soon as I spend another 12 hours behind the tiller... and purchase that family sized bottle of ibuprophen.
