Blahhhh

I have been looking at other sites, mostly linked from www.dfwblog.com. I think what I have going here is pretty boring. I need to "embellish".

It sure was warm today. It actually felt like spring. I went to Home Depot and picked up a "Yard Hound". It's a weed grabber for my halfly bermuda lawn. We're one of two houses on the block that didn't get a sodded yard when the house was built just 3 years ago. Ah well. Live and learn. I'll have it lookin' pretty darn good by the spring, I'm sure. It's my goal, and that means...uhhh...that means....

I'M MELTING!!

Wow, snow went away fast. Now it's just mud. I had to work today, but it was easier than in campaigns previous. Just a couple of spots and some redo's from 2002 because of the new disclaimer rulings. "I'm _____, and I approve this message" type stuff.

SNOW DAY!!!

Valentines Day 2004. Covered in snow in North Central Texas! I thought I would be working today on production of some new spots for the current Congressional Campaign. But that looks like it's tomorrow.

So my wife's up at 6 a.m. getting ready for the big day. She's a floral buyer and this is the day when most goobers and guys reach down real deep and pony up for some flowers for their sweety. It's a funny thing. After being in and around that business (even owning our own shop) for a number of years, I've realized that a man that doesn't buy his wife or girl anything througout the entire year will usually cough up $50, $70, $90 for roses! In my case, Valentines is tough because the last thing she wants to receive are flowers! ha!

I'm here watching the folks across the street make a snowman. I hate tearing up a beautiful yard after a new snow. So I'll simply watch them. Anyway Happy Valentine's Day, hope you got flowers...

OK February

Did I spell that right? Finally got my "area" set up with the G4 and am moving forward. Looking to get busy soon with some more edit work. I'm actually working on Macromedias flash tutorials. Got to get it to where I can do it in my sleep. I'll get there.

We drove to Eureka Springs this weekend. Checked in at East Mountain. It was snowy and icy on the backroads. We tried to eat dinner at Ermelios, but it was an hour and a half wait. IN FEBRUARY! I think it was all of those newly relocated Dallas folks who now live in Bentonville! We ended up going to Sparkys roadhouse and met a great waitress with a great attitude in the bar. Then to the room for hot tub, salami (out of the gutter), cheese and crackers in front of the TV. We hadn't had any cable in 10 months and were freaking over the Discovery Channel, Food Network, Travel Channel, etc. What hicks! Sunday was a great drive back to Texas as we stayed in town as long as we could and met some great jewelry artists from the Arkansas craft guild! We were actually the only ones at the motel, even the operators had left! We checked out late and enjoyed the drive. Go Hogs!
